AUM
AUM OM AMEN AMIN AHAMIN HUM

"Aum" is the basis of all sound in the Universe. The essence of the Vedas is Aum.He who chants or repeats Om really repeats all the sacred books of the world.Aum is the source for all the religions & scriptures of the world. They present the truth or Brahman, the One Existence. "A" represents the physical plane of your existence, "U" represents the mental plane and Astral planes, the world of spirits & all heaven of your existence and "M" represents deep sleep state and all that is unknown even in your wakeful state and all that is beyond the reach of the intellect. Om represents your life, thought & your intelligence. "A" is Brahman. "M" is Illusion. "U" is the interaction between the two.The Pranava or AUM is the greatest mantras as it bestows direct liberation. The chanting of AUM drives away all worldly thoughts & removes distraction, the pancha koshas vibrate rhythmically. It also arouses and transforms every atom in the physical body, setting up new vibrations and awakening dormant physical & mental powers.

Saints and mystics of varied religious traditions have encountered the inner Om, and they refer to it by different names. Muslims took this word from Sanatana Dharma(Eternal Religion) & called "AMIN" Christians Took this Word & called it "AMEN" Buddhist took this word & called it "HUM". The  Sikh masters from Guru Nanak on down have many terms for it, most notably The Shabd and Bani -- divine inner music. The sound of aum figures into the shamanic lore of Native Americans. It is easy to recognize it in the Oglala Sioux medicine tale of "Jumping Mouse." Mystics intuit that Aum is God Himself, and that in the form of this Sound, He creates, sustains, and dissolves the universe. Aum is the original vibration, and all other forms of vibration, including light, come from Aum. Yogic sages state that Aum, whether recited or heard within, is synonymous with God, or "non-different" from God. This is one of the great spiritual mysteries. The Yoga-Sutra of Patanjali, authoritative text on Yoga, states that "Aum" is the "designator" of the Divine Personality, or the one original Purusha who creates universes. (Called Isvara in the Yoga-Sutra.) This means that Aum is not only His primordial name; it is actually Him. It states that Isvara, Aum, is untouched by affliction or sorrow.  There are five preparations that make it possible to hear the inner Aum. In order of importance, they are: Devotion, Initiation, Celibacy, certain Meditation Techniques and other Austerities.
A repesents beggining (Adimatva).U represents progress (Utkarsha).M represents limit or dissolution (Miti).

OM Represents That Power Responsible for Creation,Development and Dissolution.
This Universe,THE DIVINE HIMSELF
